SRI at UN

Space Renaissance International works at the United Nations to bring civilian space development into the global agenda. Since June 2024 SRI is an observer at the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS), and takes part in its sessions in Vienna with technical presentations, speeches and side events. With the Space 18th SDG Coalition, SRI proposes an 18th Sustainable Development Goal on space, and holds public events in New York during the UN General Assembly.

Observer at UN COPUOS

SRI was granted provisional observer status for three years at the 67th COPUOS session (Vienna, 19–28 June 2024), together with four other NGOs. After the provisional period, SRI will be eligible to become a Permanent Observer. Read the press release.
